Maycie Martin

Co-Founder and Co-Owner

Maycie Martin is the co-founder and co-owner of InStride Performance Therapy. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a concentration in pre-veterinary science and advanced equine studies, and has built her career around the care, management, and rehabilitation of performance horses.

Her professional background includes extensive experience in equine hospitals and performance focused programs, with hands-on involvement in rehabilitation, conditioning, injury recovery, and long term performance management. Maycie served as an equine nurse at Scone Equine Hospital in Australia, the largest equine hospital in the thoroughbred capital of the country, gaining critical experience in the ICU and surgery departments. She has also worked alongside veterinarians and performance teams in high volume, high stakes environments, where attention to detail and informed decision making are critical.

In addition to her clinical and rehabilitation experience, Maycie was recruited to manage the comprehensive veterinary and rehabilitation program for the multi-million dollar cutting horse program at Adan Banuelos Performance Horses, overseeing conditioning and recovery protocols for horses competing at the highest levels. Her background also includes a rehabilitation internship at Brazos Valley Equine Hospital, specializing in therapeutic swimming, wound care, and extended stay programs. This combination of scientific training and real-world performance experience shapes how rehabilitation and conditioning programs are developed and carried out at InStride.

Maycie oversees all programs at InStride Performance Therapy and remains directly involved in the day-to-day management of each horse. She works closely with referring veterinarians and trainers to ensure care plans remain aligned as horses progress.
